Happy Sunday! Welcome to the 22nd edition of my weekly newsletter. Here are some of the articles and resources that caught my attention this week.

1. Tech Philosophy and AI Opportunity
AI’s real power isn’t in abundance—it’s how each company’s philosophy (tool vs partner, scarcity vs democratization) shapes who wins. Rising individual AI talent is now treated like superstar athletes—where mission and vision matter as much as money. Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Google—it’s not just tech or chips, it’s whose philosophy aligns with future use cases.
2. You have about 36 months to make it
“The amount of power an individual has today is vastly more than any other moment in the past. The internet gave people access to all knowledge. Social media gave them the leverage to build an audience. And now, AI gives them the ability to create, automate, and outsource almost anything.”
Couldn’t agree more—if you truly want to build something on your own, there’s never been a better time than now.
“Because more is almost always considered better. Size, scale, and growth are seductive. It is what attracts new investors and fresh capital. It is what grabs attention and headlines.
The trouble is that size and growth isn’t necessarily synonymous with strong performance.”
Ironically, this resonates in careers too. Many chase promotions just to signal growth, not because it truly fulfils them. Lasting fulfillment comes from meaningful work and real progress—not from status symbols or titles.
“If you win the lottery, remind yourself you won the lottery. Skill might help, but it’s not the driving force. Most of all, call it a lottery. Once we name it properly, it puts our effort and expectations into perspective.”
5. The Maintenance Premium - Part 2
“Stewart Brand reminds us that maintenance is the highest form of creativity. Not because it preserves the past but because it enables the future. Every act of care is an investment in tomorrow's capacity. Every maintained relationship bridges to future opportunities. Every refined process gifts advantage to those who follow.”
